Lost in Copenhagen, Denmark

From the moment I walked off the bus, I could tell that Copenhagen was a city with it's own beat. The venue was covered in amazing concert photography and the vibe of  the neighborhood was laid back while being filled with life. If that makes any sense.
Daniel Wayne and I got to go for a walk  in the sun because the band missed promo due to a hold up at the Swedish border coming back from Norway. The sun felt amazing after days (weeks, for the Wayne and the band ) of gloom. We walked through the curved streets, passing countless churches, caged in basketball and futbol courts and a miniature skate park with kids ages 3 to 10, which was maybe one of the cutest things I had ever seen.  My favorite fashion fad I noticed was on the women riding their bikes around the city. They were wearing really stylish coats, skirts and tights all in dark muted colors and then a bright New Balance or Adidas shoe. I saw it everywhere! I wonder if they just wore those shoes as part of the style or if they just wore them for their trek but then had snazzy boots in their backpacks? I guess I'll never know.
We're Lost.
But then the party stopped when we realized that we were lost. We thought we were making a circle back to the venue but didn't take into account how bowed the street were. I'm assuming there is no sort of grid system there. After a good half-hour we swallowed our pride and turned on the GPS which probably cost us an arm and a leg with overseas fees but we weren't clear enough on the location of the venue to ask anyone off the street. We were about 7 minutes and some amount of meters away and made it back with 10 minutes to spare before soundcheck.
Marc Jacobs Diet Coke
Mmmm Mushroom Risotto
The venue, Vega, had phenomenal catering and a cool vibe. A chef made all the food right there in front of us. My favorite dish being the mushroom risotto, my heart melts just thinking about it. The show that night was phenomenal. Wayne played impeccably, the spontaneity and creativity in his solos blew me away. I know I'm biased but it's true.
