While the band flew to Toronto for a quick event, I road the bus up to Columbia, Maryland.
I had hoped the city was close enough to take a cab or train into DC for the day but it was just a little too far. I was still able to go for a long walk in the afternoon (no sidewalk to be found), meet up the tour manager, Angie for a delicious dinner of crab cakes, steak and risotto and then partake in a pathetic late night workout at the hotel's gym followed by a "30 Rock" marathon. Not the big city day I was hoping for
but not too shabby either.
On the day of the concert we wandered around the mall across the street from the HUGE outdoor amphitheater, enjoyed some mall treats and celebrated being reunited with
after two nights apart.
