Free day in one of my favorite cities, Amsterdam. I love the water and bridges. I love that everyone is outside. I love the crazy bikers that fly by me. I love the architecture and the colorful buildings with their charming stoops that overlook the canals. Basically, I think this city is the bee's knees.
Wing and I started our day off with a breakfast date of hot cocoa and pancakes (of course). But it took us a while to find a pancake "huis" at noon without a long line. Incase you haven't noticed we are not very patient people especially when we're hungry.
Pancake Bakery: you were worth the walk even if your pancakes are more like crepes.
^^My everything
^^Looking up at Anne Frank's House. Surreal to see it in person.
^^Leftover Halloween decorations...Intense. Halloween is a more gruesome affair in Europe
Later in the afternoon, we met up with Dan and Ryan for shopping in Dam Square and then a quick cruise around The Red Light District. Apparently, we're making a tradition of it haha
For dinner, we went and got a 20-dish (plus appetizers and dessert) Indonesian meal with the rest of the band and a few members of the crew. The table was so full that we had to layer dishes on top of dishes. We find comfort in still eat like Americans while in Europe:)
^^3/4 of our table
One for the toilet, one for the shower.
^^Look what I found in a local record store
^^Our hotel room had two glass tube pods. One for the toilet, one for the shower.
^^We watched the movie "Halloween: Resurection"(the one with Tyra)
and then the fireplace channel (there were two of them...this one had crackling sounds)
