Madrid, Spain - III

The band performed at a place called, Palacio Vistalegre. When there are not concerts in the building, there are bull fights. My first instincts were to think "Awesome! That is so Spanish." but it actually makes me pretty sad. Poor bulls. There were around 10,000 people there that night, and from what I hear some of which camped out overnight. Not sure if that part was true because I didn't see it with my own eyes but I'm gonna go with it! I respect that kind of dedication.

Here are some photos I snapped during soundcheck:
The dressing room was absolutely freezing all day and there was just one love seat and a couple of bar stools for us to sit on. We had a small heat lamp on the floor that felt great if you were close but didn't really warm up the room so I spent most of the day sitting front of that. Luckily, I usually choose floor over a chair anyway.
^^We took these goofy pictures in front of the heat lamp/mirror and they remind me of this photo below that we took in the dressing room at Velour in Provo, UT back when we were dating in 2010. Yes, I am also wearing a faux fur coat. So much and so little have changed.
^^I don't have this photo on my laptop so I stole it off my own Facebook and because of this, I read that I posted this photo on December 6th, 2010 and I took the photo in Madrid on December 6th, 2013.
SPOOKY!!!!!!

The audience in Madrid was incredible. They were loud, welcoming and full of dance moves you know I'm gonna steal. During Wing's "Nothing Left to Say" guitar solo, he quoted the Spanish National anthem which he learned earlier that day. The fans went wild and began to sing along. I teared up of course. It is so amazing when you see how performers show respect to the audience and their culture and the audience reciprocates.  I am trying my best to show my respect to all of the places I'm visiting and I feel that the locals, for the most part, have done the same. And that is a beautiful thing.

During the performance:
Buenas Noches!
