Today, our Little River is four-months-old. We have been living in Vegas since he was six-weeks-old (he is now 20 weeks) and are now finally back in our home in California...not permanently, I guess we are never anywhere permanently but for a while (off and on...).
River is really a sweet kid. I look in his eyes and I see good. Maybe that's how all babies are because they are so new and pure but I believe this kid has got a heart of gold.
He is constantly taking in the world around him and doesn't want to miss a thing. Snuggles are still rare but more often than last month.
He is very patient with himself as he reaches for things and attempts to roll over.
He coo's, goo's, oo's and squeals all day long. It's pretty much the greatest.
He seems to have passed his nightly witching hour phase...for now. Lately he is his funniest at night and it is a ba-gillion times better.
He still hates the carseat and tummy time but is getting better with both. He has taken an interest in toys which helps distract him during the tortuous activities.
He still sleeps 10-11 hours straight at night unless he is not feeling well. After three months of sleeping in a swing, carseat and bassinet he is finally in a crib.
He loves to stand, be tossed in the air and sit in his Bumbo.
His big outings this month include dad's charity gala/acoustic concert for The Tyler Robinson Foundation and the AMA's (which happened to be the same weekend in two different states). He was a rockstar.
Most days I am completely exhausted but he makes me so happy.
