We went back to Amsterdam (YAY!) for a few days so the boys could perform in the European Music Awards.
I love this city more and more with each visit. We spent our days walking the rainy streets, eating, going to shows, eating, shopping, eating and taking part in the EMA festivities.
Paparazzi and fans waited outside our hotel all day for three days straight.
The hotel was full of artists but the only other musicians I knew were there for sure were The Backstreet Boys (Tehehe).
On our second day, we found the most amazing street of vintage shops, so that kept me occupied for an afternoon. I would suggest Marble Vintage if you are ever in town!
Our hotel served a surprisingly good margarita pizza so we ordered it 3x.
The EMAs were a blast. We went back and forth between the main arena and the large club next door where the band performed so we could eat at catering and the boys could do the red carpet. I got super nervous watching the boys because it was completely live. But there was no need because there were no technical difficulties and I've never seen a better performance of "Radioactive." If you don't believe me watch it here.

After the show, Ben, Platz, Ryan, Wing and I wandered the streets celebrating on our own until we got an email stating that Katy Perry had personally invited the band to her after party. It is one of those things you can't say no to, right? So we walked the 10 blocks to her hotel. The party was intimate and dark with lots dancing. We stood against the window, more observing than participating until Katy Perry herself brought over a tray of drinks. She was very kind and talked with us for a while. Eight feet to my right, Miley Cyrus twerked and twerked to her heart's content. Other sitings: Bruno Mars, Jared Leto and Ariana Grande. The whole experience was surreal. My eyes have been opened to a very different world.
