Well well well. Here we are. 39 weeks into this pregnancy and feeling none the wiser.
That due date is really creeping up on us. I always thought peanut would be early or on time, I guess because Wing and I were both early babies but today I got the feeling he will be late. I just can't imagine him being here in the next 5 days but I guess that is not a fair assessment because I can't imagine what it will be like to have a baby in any amount of days.
As nervous as I am, it would be better to have him earlier so Wing will be able to spend more time with us before he hits the road again. But I am doing my best to not put that pressure on myself because it is out of my control. I know you can't predict when the baby is ready but I asked my doctor at my appointment this morning just for kicks and she confirmed that. Though she did seem suspiciously confident that the next time she'll be seeing me is at my appointment next week and not at the hospital before then so explain that one...
Maybe peanut is holding out on us because he knows I didn't take any classes or finish a single pregnancy book...sorry baby.
The photo above was taken yesterday in our new home! We have been keeping ourselves busy and distracted this week by moving in, battling an army of ants, putting together furniture for the nursery, drilling into our walls, hanging art, packing my hospital bag, organizing and squeezing in sunset beach walks. It's been pretty much the best.
Wing has been taking such good care of me. I gained 3 pounds this week instead of my normal 1/2 or 1. He has not let me skip a meal or snack, plus I have a larger appetite when he is around making me happy.
The house is still in shambles but we have got the basics or at least we will after quite a few deliveries tomorrow. We have been having so much fun designing it and will share more photos as it comes together!
I'm happy for you!

Hey! You guys just moved into our ward and I just wanted to reach out to you to see if you've had your baby :) the relief society would love to help and bring meals if you have or when you do! Hope you're loving your new place and, if you've had the baby, enjoying the time with the sweet newborn. Newborns are the best.
